-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PARAMITA KOLE was interviewed by Gateforum for his extraordinary performance in
GATE 2011-Following is the excerpt

1. Have you taken GATE earlier and how was your performance in it?
Ans: 2010 with AIR-1228

2. Can you recollect when you started preparation for GATE 2011?
Ans: 3rd Year of Engineering

3. What was your aim in GATE (rank aimed for) when you began preparing?
Ans: Around 300

4. What were the subjects you felt were tough?
Ans: Automata Compiler and Algorithm

5. What were the subjects you felt were easy?
Ans: Dcln, architecture, DBMS and DS

6. Which books and material did you refer to in your preparation?
Ans: Test Books and Gateforum study material

7. How did Gateforum's test series (TARGATE) help in your preparation?
Ans: It hepled me to assess my position among the competitors. It also helped me to understand what my weakness are and where I had to improve.

8. How did Gateforum's correspondence course/Classroom Coaching help in your preparation?
Ans: It was helpful because firstly I got chance to solve questions on each topic and could be able to get syudy material of few topics not covered in BE but in GATE.

9. What are the strengths of Gateforum's product(s)?
Ans: Questions are arranged from easy to moderate to tough. That was nice because it gives a chance to know actually where I am in the steps of preperation.

10. In your opinion what are the major reasons for your success in GATE?
Ans: Practise and throughtout study of text books.

11. What was your methodology while preparing for GATE?
Ans: In first step, covered topics from text , then solving questions from study material(Gateforums) and at the third stage giving topic wise test and last two months full length tests.

12. When did you complete the syllabus? And were you able to revise? (How many times?)
Ans: As I attempted GATE two times I completed the syallbus first time and Next time I got chance to revise.

13. How did you prepare in the last 2 months before GATE?
Ans: Giving only full length tests and solving GATE papers of last 10 years.

14. What suggestion and preparation tips would like to give to GATE aspirants?
Ans: They should complete the syllabus from the text book at least few monthsbefore the exam. Then solving GATE papers and giving full length test can work well.

15. Which institute(s) have you applied for? Which institute(s) and specialization are you planning to take up?
Ans: IISc(Bangalore)-CSE,IIT Mumbai-CSE, IIT Kanpur-CS and IIT Kharagpur-CS

16. Please give your testimonial for Gateforum?
Ans:Gateforum is the best institute for preparants of GATE exam in West Bengal. It has good and composed study materials. There online test series and TarGATE was specially helpful for my preparations.
